Organic Okara&Tuna Salad
Today’s recipe is “Okara&Tuna Salad”.
Okara is Soy Pulp which remains after pureed soybeans or filtered.
It is the residue left after making tofu and it is usable byproducts.
These okara made of organic soybeans, so They are organic okara.
Organic Okara&Tuna Salad
<Ingredients>
・Okara 100g
・Canned Chunk Tuna in water 1
・English cucumber 1/2 unit
・Onion 1/2 unit
・Mayonnaise 5 Tbsp
・Salt
・Pepper
・Corn , Carrot(Option)
<How to make>
- Put salt on sliced onion and squeeze.
- Remove seeds of cucumber.
- Put salt on sliced cucumber and squeeze.
- Rinse process 1 and 2. Pat dry with cooking paper.
- Open a canned Tuna and drain water.
- Add process 4, 5, Okara and other ingredients what you like.
- Add mayonnaise , salt and pepper and mix.
- Serve on a plate.
Okara
When you make tofu, you always get some Okara.
In a big tofu factory, they have a lot of Okara.
We can eat Okara but it called industrial wast at the factory.
If you get okara, you can keep in freezer with ziplok bags.
You can also make some okara cookies, okara scorns, and more!
